The Magnificence of Imaan in Islam

Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) Gives the Glad Tidings of Jannah for the Person who Testifies with Conviction that there is none worthy of worship but Allaah
Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah ( Radi allahu anhu ) narrates, "We were a group of
Sahabah ( Radi allahu anhu ) including Abu Bakr ( Radi allahu anhu ) and Umar ( Radi allahu anhu ) sitting around Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam)
when he got up to leave. Because Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) delayed in returning to us, we feared that he may have come to some harm in our absence. This alarmed us and we quickly got up. 1 was the first to be alarmed and in my search for Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) I reached an orchard belonging to the Banu Najjaar tribe of the Ansaar. I circled the orchard looking for a gate, but could not find any. I then came across a stream running into the orchard from a well outside. 1 therefore squeezed through and found Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) there.
Abu Hurayrah ( Radi allahu anhu )Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) asked. 'Yes, o Rasulullaah ( Radi allahu anhu ) w,'I replied. What is the matter?' he asked. I explained, 'You were with us when you left. When you delayed in returning to us, we feared that you may have come to some harm in our absence. This alarmed us and I was the first to be alarmed. When I reached this orchard, I squeezed through as a fox would do and entered. The
others are all behind me.' Handing me his shoes,Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said, 'o Abu Hurayrah ( Radi allahu anhu) Take these shoes of mine and give the glad tidings of Jannah to every
person you meet outside this orchard who testifies with conviction of the
heart that there is none worthy of worship but Allaah.
The first person I met.was Umar ( Radi allahu anhu ) 'What are these shoes, o Abu Hurayrah( Radi allahu anhu )
he asked. These are Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) shoes. He has sent me to give the glad tidings of Jannah to every person I meet who testifies with conviction of the heart that there is none worthy of worship but Allaah.' Umar  ( Radi allahu anhu ) then struck me so hard on the chest that I fell down on my buttocks. He then instructed me to
return and I returned to Rasulullaah(Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) seeking help in tears. Umar  ( Radi allahu anhu ) was almost upon me as he came in my footsteps. 'What has happened to you, o Abu Hurayrah?' Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) asked. I related the incident to him saying, 'I met Umar ( Radi allahu anhu ) and when I told him the message you had sent me with, he struck me so hard on the chest that I fell down on my buttocks. He then told me to return.'
'0 Umar!' Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said, 'What made you do that?' Umar ( Radi allahu anhu ) said, May.my parents be sacrificed for you,
O Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) ! Did you send Abu
Hurayrah with your shoes to give the glad tidings of Jannah to every person he
meets who testifies with conviction of the heart that there is none worthy of
worship but Allaah?' '1 certainly did,' Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) replied. 'Do not do that,'Omar ( Radi allahu anhu ) pleaded, 'because I fear that people would pin all their hopes in this (and stop doing good deeds). Rather leave them to continue doing good deeds.'Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam)  then said, 'Then leave them."
